How a new page got linked by ChatGPT 46 hours after it went live (2026)

Key takeaway

We put up one page that answers one buyer question: "How much does a done-for-you outbound agency cost per month?" 33 hours after it went live, Google still didn't know the page existed. We resubmitted the sitemap and requested indexing, and Google crawled it 2 to 6 minutes later. The ChatGPT app linked the page as its first source 46 hours 26 minutes after it went live, and 13 hours 22 minutes after Google's crawl. Three days in, the ChatGPT app linked the page in 5 of 5 answers and the Gemini app in 3 of 5, and neither named us.

What was on the page

The page opens with a table of what agencies charge, each price taken from that agency's own pricing page and sourced in the same row, under a title that asks the buyer's question in fewer words. So the answer, and every number a buyer asks about, sits in the first screen.

What we changed because of it

Every page we build now names us in plain words where it describes what we do, so an engine that quotes the page has our name in the sentence it quotes.

We also stopped waiting for Google to find new pages. The sitemap and Request Indexing go in the day a page ships.
